Some late night poetry inspired by the joyous experience of MILK TEA SOUP…
Oh Milk Tea, Oh Milk Tea,
How I adore to have you within me,
The way your bubbles squelch so gloriously,
and your condensed milk adds to the taste so scrumptiously
The way the sprinkles on top add a bit of controversy
Should it be chocolate, or raisins, well we shall see!
Oh Milk Tea, Oh Milk Tea,
How I adore to have you within me,
The glorious wait to have that first sip,
Try it, before you waste the first drip
It’s worth the ride, it’s worth the trip,
To have you here upon my lip.
Oh Milk Tea, Oh Milk Tea,
How I adore to have you within me,
From Nutri House with cream and jelly
Or a biscuitty one at Hello Kitty
Or just a green tea one from café Z,
Or a funky ‘apa’ one down some dark alley.
Oh Milk Tea, Oh Milk Tea,
How I adore to have you within me,
The sociability of us gathered round the table,
In Vietnam you’re probs served even at a stable,
Doesn’t matter if the others you understand are not able,
For Milk Tea overcomes even the Tower of Babel.
Tôi yêu bạn, trà sữa.
Regards,
Shakespeare

Oh Seaweed Tea, Oh Seaweed Tea
You came from Vietnam just for me
I drank you as I worked or as I sat on the balcony
You inspired my dreams fantastically
Now you are all inside of me
And there ain't none left.
So your dad has gone for nettle tea instead.
Thank you for the odes! I am sorry but I wasn't totally convinced. Vietnamese hot tra is more to my liking. Äx
